In March 1987, the Shihoro Line, which was in service for 63 years, was decommissioned. Episodes that occurred during its long history are introduced using large photo panels. You can also experience riding on this line via a large TV screen. Please enjoy yourself as you look back on memories from the days of this railway line.
Applications for the Arch Bridge Friendship Society are also accepted.

This museum was opened in 1988 when the Shihoro Line was terminated. Exhibited here are invaluable photographs, timetables, working devices, tablets, traffic signals and other memorabilia from the days when steam locomotives were still in operation.
Railway enthusiasts from across the country come here because it serves as the base for arch bridge sightseeing. Visitors can learn about its history and obtain information on how to get to the bridge, where to take photographs and so on.
In August 2002, the monthly number of visitors reached 1,007, exceeding the 1,000 mark for that month.
